Ever wondered about "girlfriends" and how they choose their besties? (Besties is now a common term for "best friend") And in this instance girlfriends refers to girls, and their girl (lady) friends.
So driving in the traffic, I often see girls traveling together. Many times it's just two of them. What I noticed is that often, one would be blond, and the other brunette! Is this co-incidence?
My thoughts are as follows:-
The blond girls make friends with brunettes, as they believe blondes are more popular, and they don't like competition, so being "besties" with a brunette almost ensures they (and not their "bestie") will get the attention!
Brunettes make friends with blondes, because the think blondes are stud magnets, so the chances of getting lucky are increased when in the company of a magnet!!
Just my thoughts on the subject, not my actual opinion. Your thoughts?

Malema certificates
So there's this comedian out there who does a whole routine about handing out signs to people who ask stupid questions / say dumb things. I can't remember the detail, but I have some of my own.
Last Sunday I asked the Princess to cut my hair. I usually go to a shop to have it done, but as I was going to take the car in to have it pained, and I was planning to use the bike for the week, I said "Put a no. 4 on the clippers, and take it all off!"
And she did. Nice job too (and I saved ZAR80.00).
So, apart from the fact that almost no one at the office recognized me, what was really annoying was:-
"Hey, did you cut your hair?"
"No, I have a massive tumor in my head, so it's now 12 times the size it was last week, making my hair look shorter!" "Take a Malema certificate!!!"
"Hey, you had a hair cut!"
"What? I did? So that's what those buggers were doing whilst I was passed out that the concert! Shit, thanks for telling me!" "Take a Malema certificate!!!"
I mean, are those the type of statements you make when you notice someone has shaved it off? What happened to "Makes you look younger", "Nice haircut", "Suits you....."!
Ah well, se la vie!

Micheal Jackson
So he's dead. So?
I'll tell you so what? Farah Fawcett also passed away on the same night. In fact, she died before Micheal did.
And when she arrived at the pearly gates, St. Peter offered her one wish. She asked "Can you make the children be safe?"... So he took out Micheal Jackson!
His body is going to be recycled - made into lego blocks, so little boys can play with him for a change.
Either that, or plastic shopping bags. That whet he's plastic, white, and still dangerous to children!
And anyway, it's not confirmed he died of a heart attack - in fact he was found in the children's ward where it is suspected he had a stroke......
Hey, it's all light hearted stuff, and surprising how fast all this shit came out on sms. I enjoyed his music, and liked his videos, when he was much younger - and sane. of late however, I have no love lost for him. Not that anything was ever proven re the alleged child abuse / molestation - but where there is smoke.....
Micheal - the way I remember him - probably at his best!

Anyway, to both Micheal and Farah - Rest in peace. You gave us many years of entertainment, and for this we are grateful.

Another passing
It was with sadness that today I learned of the passing of a client / friend.
We met through my job when his company became our client, and I was in charge of the business we did with them. A very demanding, yet fair fellow, with a deep sense of responsibility, and understanding of whet he was required to do, and did it with a passion. About 6 months ago his first child, a girl was born. At about the same time he was diagnosed with cancer of the heart!? A very, very rare occurrence. Some weeks ago he updated me that they had given him 2 days to 2 weeks to live. He'd made it past a month.
They had stopped the chemo treatment, it was unsuccessful, and he was now on some other meds which had shown some success in other difficult cases. Last night he lost the battle.
Rest in Peace Mario. I am so sad for you, and your wife and child. Life is not fair, and in this instance even more so. You could have been such a wonderful dad, and would have raised such a beautiful child.

PS - makes me realise how fortunate I am to have crossed the 10 yrs as a survivor......
