Called to say that initial test drives prove positive. Might have to replace another part or two, but the expensive part was refurbished / repaired.

My brother get the repaired quad back from the engineering company who offered to straighten the bent frame for him. Seems like they did a good job, and after spray painting the repairs, he reassembled it.
