So, this is my Blog, my thoughts / feelings / ideas. You may comment if you like. If you attack me, I come back at you with reckless / racist / suicidal abandon. If you compliment me, I thank you. If you don't ever visit again I don't care. Other than that, just enjoy what I write, or not. Salagatle!

On a serious note
Some of you will recall my posts on the tragic passing of a dear friend, Johan van der Merwe, as well as the sad situation of his fiance. Herewith an update - and something you all can do to assist. Please spread the word....
Its so sad to even look at these pictures. She is such a beautiful girl. What about organizing one of your famous gambling parties where all the proceeds go to the family? That's just my 2 cents worth from way across the oceans.
She is an incredibly beautiful girl.... sadly there may be permanent damage.... Poker tournament ! Now why didn't I think of that! I'm going to start arranging one tomorrow! Thanx Salagatle!
That is very sad. I almost died in a car accident 23 years ago on my 20th birthday. My back and pelvis were broken (along with other broken bones and lacerations) and my internal organs were shutting down. God in his grace kept me alive and after a month or so I went into a nursing home (in the States generally for old people). After a month or so there, I signed myself out against doctor's orders and taught myself to walk again. When it first happened, they said I'd probably die the first night. After that they said I'd probably never walk. Then they said I'd most likely never have children. Well look at me: I lived; I'm now 43, I can not only walk, but I can run, climb trees, and am quite active, and I've given birth to six healthy, beautiful children. As my dad always says, Where there's life, there's hope. I hope this beautiful girl has a full recovery as well.
Tx J, and welcome back! Your story is so much like that of this lovely girl Like you, the doctors gave her no chance, but we know Claudine as a fighter, and with the belief her parents, friends and family have shown, all their prayers and trust, she's already made a great recovery. She has a very long way to go, may never be the same, but she's still with us. I hope that some day she will have a story like your s to tell. I will share your story with her friends.... Thanx again! Salagatle!
