So I send the exec.in EMEA this email:-

"You will, no doubt, by now be aware of the result of last nights match between Liverpool ("you will never win again") and Milan. I trust that all concerned are willing to accept the final result, and that no appeals are outstanding. In any event, a 20 pound note, signed by the supporter of the losing team will find it's way to the hands of the supporter of the winning team, who will frame it and hang it in his bar, just to remember this special occasion.
I trust this note finds you all in good health, and that our paths will one day cross again..

And I get this reply:-

Enjoy your moment my friend.............................without a doubt the better team lost but that is the way football goes. A lucky goal off the arm of a big girl was an unfortunate turning point in the match. No appeals planned but in mitigation your team is full of old women who moan and complain and playact worse than a pack of girl guides. My signed and authentic £20 note will be in the hands of Nxxxx Wxxxx or Axxx Mxxxx who are both due to be in your area in the near future on the XXX deal. Spend it wisely !!!

And my response to this was:-

I accept the fees humbly (but with big grin displayed). I will not be spending it though, but will frame and display as per my note. Will send photos. Oh, and thanx. See u soon?

Now, why is it that some people are such bad losers. I know what he had to say was tongue in cheek, but some other Liver supporters were more severe in their criticism, and some are not taking calls. One supporter I just spoke to said he thought it was a good game, he was sorry his team didn't win, but that's the game. Someone wins, someone loses. And I think that is the right attitude.
Yes, you can be upset that your team didn't win, but it's not always because the ref was biased / blind / bought, sometimes it's just not your night.
Well, that's my opinion anyway.
