So, as 2009 dies a slow and timeous death

we are reminded that it's only the passing of another year in the life of.....x. Yup, so much has happened to so many, and so little has impacted on life overall. It's just another day , another month, another year. No matter.

Many will say they glad it's over and done with. For many, myself included, it's been one of the harder years in my life. Financially possibly the most challenging, and with no respite in sight.

The boys have come through another year of school, for GMan, his last, and now it's off to varsity. For LuckyL, well he has 2 to go, probably the most important 2 of all 12, and it seems he is peaking at just the right time. The Princess has a new job, which she is enjoying immensly, and is up for a increase in January, as her boss said he didn't realise how much pressure she would be taking off of him, so he says she's worth more, and will review her salary soonest!

For me, it's just a roll over of the crap I have been putting up with for longer than I care to remember. It's just a shit place to work, and as soon as I can get out of here the better. I'm managing, only just, to makie the monthly committments, but it's getting harder every month, and commission payments are becoming less frequeent, what with the company stuffing up th eprocess, no one wanting to take ownership of the fact that our commission payments are wrong, and then taking 3 months to pay whats due anyway....

My new manager, Satans Daughter, is still around. Can't see them replacing her too soon - she seems to be able to work her way around every situation and get away clean each time. But no fear, the wheel turns, and she will get her due.....

This year I had to put Kaiser, our white German Shephard down. Also, I had to bury Witness, my reliable and trustworthy old gardner. There were a few more RIPS's and quite a few posts on trouble at work.

Motorbikes featured big in my blog, and will probably continue to do so for a while.

Lot's of crap with the car this year, and in fact, tomorrow I got to get it in to the shop for the front suspension which sounds like it's falling apart! had to come to work with GMans car today because of this, oh, and to have his exhaust rubbers replaced. We managed to sell his car yesterday! and will hand it over on Thursday when the guy comes with the cash. Now he's looking for a replacement car, an upgrade. He's managed to put away a chunk of money so he can look for something newer, and more economical. Good for him. I'm stuch with my now 10 yr old Corolla, 1600i automatic, which has done over 200000km.....!

Queenie is doing fine, even if she gets more cranky as old age creeps in. My mom is also doing great, and considering that she turned 78 this year, is fantastic. Still drives herself around, lives alone (cause she insists on doing so), and manages her home. Keeping an eye on her as I don't think she will be able to do so for much longer though.

My brother has had an up and downn year, and is currenly off till the 13th Jan on medical leave. Had another stone in the kidney (4th time?) and this time thay put in a stint, which is causing bleeding if he moves aroufd too much, so he has to stay home, and rest as much as possible. Also, his brother in law reneged on the payments for the car brother had signed surety for, but we found it, had it repossesed by the banks people, then I released it from the auction pound for him, and now it's at my place waiting for delivery to Richards Bay. The upside, I suppose is that it's still in very good nick, and his daughter is now learing to drive, so he will have a car for her. And the Opel Corsa is a economical car to run as well.

Don't suppose I'll post anymore this year, so better I finish off with this:-

To all of you who read this blog, regulary or otherwise, and to anyone who may stumble on this page by accident, may you all be blessed (by whatever deity you believe in). May your wishes for 2010 be realised. Peace to you all, your families and friends.

To all of us South Africans, may we be protected from the evils of this society we live in. May economic prosperity touch us all, and the hardships of life be restricted to affect the ragheads and communists!
