Replies to comments

Instead of posting a comment replying to a comment in the comment section...., I have decided to just post a comments reply.
So:-

Kia Sportage
Fishman, I hear you. But it's not so black and white as you say.
R6,5k spent on fixing some parts of the VW. However, it's still not fixed, and so means go9ing back to the shop for a few days, where the "new parts fitters", "maybe it's this, maybe that" can continue to do guess work at my expense. They did quote R7k for a power steering pump unit, and I got it replaced for R500, and it's still not right, so that wasn't the proble.
It's also the fancy rear door locking systems, both of which were replaced under warranty a year ago, but both of which are faulty again, and cost about R4k each, excluding labour, and which VW says are now out of warranty, as well as the door lock sensing devices which are faulty which cause the interior lights to come on every time you go around a corner, and which cannot be set, must be replaced......
And it's only R100k debt, plus interest. 4 yr 100000km FULL maintenance plan, 5 yr 100000km warranty.
I think if all the costs involved with keeping the VW, as opposed to the purchase of the Kia are added up, I did the right thing.

As for Faulty cars, I'm sure I can find a disgruntled buyer for just about any make of car. I don't buy the argument that because some people bought one and it was kak, they are all kak.

Toyota are pricing themeselves out of the market - and as for VW - have you seen the latest Golf, 14oo, at R300k? U must be kidding me - I can get a Mercedes C200 for less. Brand new.

Performance Review
Brutha..... I hear you. And u r correct. But I have also knowledge of the very pro employee laws in this country that protect me. Would love for "the company" to give me the slack I need to hang them......
DMD - Fishman - please email me this readers identity. I'm stumped (must be all the rum from my younger days.....)

Ok, so that's the replies.
The Kia is done and dusted.
The performance review is reviewed.
All I'm waiting for now is my reply on my application for a different post in this same company.
And of course, to win the Lotto.
Then I'm done.
