More home changes

I got hold of the builder again yesterday, and he's supposed to be coming to see me today. Not sure he'll turn up, but we live in hope...
Last time I asked him for a quote, he had problems with the roofing guy doing the design the way I wanted, blah, blah, blah...
Anyway, in the meantime I've done the required research, and worked out how the roof design should be done to suit my requirement, and know now it can be done (damn roofing guy is just lazy).
So, I'm going to have the builder do just the pillars for me, and I'll do / have the rest done, the way I want. Will work out a lot cheaper that way too.
Whilst he's here i want him to build a small "plinth" for the proposed fountain / feature...
And I might as well have the pillars - 1m tall - built on the upper and lower decks to accommodate a better, new, improved railing.
Hope that the building business is slow enough right now for him to actually be interested in doing the job, ans hungry enough to do it at a good price.
I know he doesn't like doing these little add on / alteration jobs, but am hoping that he needs to fit it into his current work load.
Will take before and after pics, and keep progress updated here.
