So near to her place he makes a left turn into her road from a traffic light. The road goes uphill maybe 25 meters, anf then makes a sharp right. He says as soon as he was turning right, he felt the back wheel go, and pulled the bike back upright, it then flipped over to the opposite side and thtrew him Could be that when he jerked the bike back, his wrist twisted the accelerator, and as this is a muscle bike (plenty low end power) it would have thrown him.
I happen to know that bit of road. As it's at the bottom of a down hill section, there is often gravel (loose stones and sand) there, and with all the rain we have had, probably more so. Ultimately, experiance was the problem, or in this case lack thereoff. Not sure I would have lost the bike in that situation, but I been riding for 36 years, he's been riding for 2 - and this bike is way bigger than his 125......
Anyway, he was back at the hospital today for them to check the burn wound on his right calf. it's cause they worried about possible infection.
Whilst he was there they checked the other wounds. his left knee is ok, as is the elbow. He had developed an infection in the sore in his right hand palm, so they treated that. His left hand palm, although hurt more, is ok. He mentioned he still had a headache, and his right ribs hurt since the fall. Well that was it. Into the back for a brain scan, anf then xrays for the ribcage. All's well. Seems he might have a slight case of concussion.
Anyway, some penecillin for the infection, and a packet of pills, and not only has he damaged my bike, he's now probably wiped out the medical aid!!
At least he's ok.
Right hand - not too bad - but has become infected!
Left hand - any of you who have hugged a tar road will know this hurts!
Left knee - a pair of jeans would have lessened this for sure. I know - been the.....
Left elbow - ouch!
Left elbow again - ouch again! At least he's ok.
Unlike my bike....:

Been there, done that...I can feel my sphincter cringing just at the thought of it...ow, pain...
Damage to his helmet would be a good indicator of whether he has concussion or not...
Poor baby. Hope he feels better soon. I have a feeling that dad is still upset but GMan is OK. It could have been worse. Good thing he is young and will mend quickly.
