I also invited Fishman (he of Papvreter fame) but he was not available. Will have to have him and his family around some other time. It was a kind of first bar counter wetting affair.
The Princess also invited some other friends, who we thought (rightfully) would be compatible / get on well with DMDad and She. P & J have a double barreled surname, a mix of a Formula 1 manufacturer and a dead American President!
Work it out.......DMdad and She arrived in her little black number (that's their car, not her dress!) with the roof down. Very stylish, and appropriate for the weather we were having on Saturday.
And, for the bar, they brought along a nice gift, which we were sure to open and taste after dinner. great stuff, and enjoyable! Thanx Bud!
The lady (J) of the second couple who is very creative set about decorating the champagne bottle while we were chatting after dinner. She used the chocolate wrappers that were on the table.... very creative she is!
The Princess also decided on a different dinner plan, as opposed to the usual braai or take aways. It's called a raclette grill, comes from some friends from Holland (although it's made in France). Kind of a mix between a fondue and a hot rock. Great for a slow, conversational dinner.
Overall, a great evening was had by all, with everyone leaving well past 11pm... Thanx for coming around guys, and good luck with the emigration. We will come and see you down there in Feb!Salagatle!

Still depressed that I could not make it. I have one of those tefal things at home (It was a wedding gift from my friends who stay in Holland) It is for breakfasts but we never unpacked it.
You really missed out boet....
Give the Tefal thingy to me - we know how to use it...
Or better still, bring it with when we invite you around... Princess will show u how to use it...
Salagatle!
Stop it you guys! Dont you know I'm on a diet. LOL I was starving after I read this post. I love raclette (smelly oily cheese)with pickles and potatoes or whatever you want. I think Fishman wont be able to use his (raclette grill) for a while. Its hard when little hands want to get involved and touch everything. Good luck to DMD!
Pickles, prawns, minute steaks, olives, baby marrows, mushrooms, cheese, etc, etc, etc......
Salagatle!
You are due for a bruising Wreckless....LOL
Bro...this is the first opportunity I've gotten this week to get onto the web.
Thanks for having us around, it was great to see the three of you again, too bad G-man couldn't make it. As for the bar, it looks great and we're glad we could contribute half a bottle of the Porra liquer (the half we didn't drink, which was good - incidentally I remembered the following morning that it reminded me of Drambuie, not Ouzo as I had originally thought).
The boys bikes look great too...it's great that you three can get all creative together on them. Next is your own, but let the boys have a big say in it as, I'm sure, you had a big say in theirs. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The Tefal-thing was an enjoyment akin to a full-blown fondue, only without all the oil. I wouldn't mind trying to find one for "She" (you remember how much she enjoyed it? to tell the others, she finished eating last!!!...just about polished the plates, she did).
Thanks again for having us...we look forward to having you around in February when you're down on your visit...
