Update on the fines
The DA has come back to me. And they are going to appoint one of their people to investigate it. Apart from that, I have forwarded information to the producers of Carte Blanche!
My money says that they will blame it on an "administrative error", promise to rectify the situation and you will never hear from them again...and that includes the toothless DA too (even though I voted DA myself).
A2Z...getting back to one of my previous postings, there is a criminal mentality that pervades a good deal of the SA population, kept going by the fact that there is a corrupt police and judicial system in place. The crooks know they are going to get away with their crimes, cos (1) there is no-one to catch them, and (2) there is an inefficient judicial system that will either lose the case or let them get off with a slap on the wrist.
