Huh? What the fuck are we doing? It makes no sense!
There are world wide food shortages, which are causing rioting. Oil prices going through the roof, causing knock on effect on everything which touches our lives. Worldwide electricity crises (yup, it's now a worldwide phenomena) also having knock on effect - all resource manufacturing are power hungry, and this will affect their availability. Hotter / colder weather patterns affecting agriculture. More countries being mismanaged by more corrupt dictator style governments. Stock exchanges are up and down faster than a run away roller coaster.
Has there ever, in the history of man, been a more meaningful reason / time for a world war? The Chinese are trying to infiltrate Africa. They are supporting most of the troubled countries (and their despot leaders
Where is it going? Mark my words, it's going to get worse before it gets better!

You need to go fishing to get rid of all this negative Karma!
Wreckless...a wise man, you are. I couldn't agree with you more. George Warmonger Bush is focussing on the emotional religious threat and the Chinese are quietly using the opportunity to further their expansion requirements by flogging weapons to African warlords and selling their crap products to the rest of the western world. A classic two-pronged attack...
Its hard to find any logic in a lot of events. Take 9-11 in the US where 3000 people died. Since the war began in Irak, there has been 4000 casualties. 1000 and counting, more casualties than 9-11. I dont get it....
Oh my goodness...I think we all have moments when we feel like you do... but remember life can still be fantastic...so listen to Fishman and take a break and gooi n lyn there...that way you will have tanked some strength up to fight another day!

a2z says.... "Take 9-11 in the US where 3000 people died. Since the war began in Irak, there has been 4000 casualties. 1000 and counting, more casualties than 9-11."
In South Africa we have more than 3000 casualties a year in road accidents, same with murders, even more rapes, violent attacks. In fact, to date this year there has been an ATM blown every day since Jan 01!
I hear you. That's why I moved back. Life was great for us in SA: free house, free cars, maid, gardener, private schools...That was a very generous package that was offered to us. But we pay in many other ways with fear, worry, anger that leads to feelings of helplesness and demoralization. But peace of mind is priceless. So back to Canada we went with a big mortgage, car payments, no maid and no gardener and public schools. The 4 of us have to work to make ends meet. I was depressed at first because after 10 years I had made some friends and it felt like my second home. My kids even spoke with a SA'n accent. We enjoyed SA and its people tremendously. Yes you are right that the numbers of accidents, murders, rapes and violent attacks on people and ATM machines makes it worse than Irak and yet so few people know about it. A sense of safety and peace of mind are required by all individuals to be able to thrive.
