The saga continues. (See previous posts for background).
So, he manages to find one of his sons! A small miracle at best, and gets a signed copy of his ID document. he's off to the Department of Home Affairs, to aply for his new ID book. There he gets told he has to go to Pretoria? For fuck sake!! He's 72, unemployed, illiterate, homeless, has no money to speak of, and these dumb fucks tell him to go to Pretoria? I don't think so. I think I will take a day off work again soon, and go and pay them a visit myself.
In fact, I will be writing to a whole bunch of newspapers and radio stations again, to highlight his plight, and if I can get hold of some government officials email addresses, they will be hearing from me too. I think I'll prepare an email, and resend it to all of them on a daily basis for the next 3 months until someone comes back to me and we resolve this!
