Various updates

Gman, who is now in Malaysia on a hockey tour, and his team mates, played their first game Friday, 6pm (their time) against the National U16 Development team and drew 1-1! This is fantastic, and I could picture the boys, especially Gman's celebrations as soon as the final whistle blew! They went there with no illusions, knowing that they would be playing against some of the best players in their age group in the world. The Malaysian mens hockey team are in the top 3 in the world, so their junior teams must be good too. Also, they wold be in extreme weather conditions, but, it seems they made it, this time. Good for you and your team my boy! They played their second game at 9 am (their time) this morning. They won this one 3-1!!!! Now I know they are out of their minds with elation. This is so good for them considering we were thinking they couldn't do it!!!!!

Then, contrary to all expectations as set by a fellow blogger, Fishman, he of "Papvteter" fame, I have, and am still managing to "mess with the HTML of this specific blog layout. I used the same for a blog I set up for the boys tour, and had to manipulate it some so as to get a table into the left column with their games and results. No problem, done and dusted. So, if you want some guidence Fishman, give me a call.

Witness still has not had any luck with his ID Book. They now asked him if there is any way that he can find his Mother? (She's been dead some time now), his teacher!(duh, he's 72, how old would she be?). They did indicate, subtly, that a little bribe could be of assistance, and he promptly told them to go to that place where we all know all darkies go to eventually!

LuckyL has been doing very little of late. Being on school vacations, and not having his brother around has turned him into a vegetable! he's not even interested in going for dinner with us (spare wheel syndrome). In fact, last night he again opted to stay at home, and eat leftovers, and spent his time on MixIt / the internet. Oh, well, it's those teenage years.

One more week at work and then it's vacation time for me, for a week anyway. Once again we will be going to Sun City for a midweek break with the Queenies time share. Oh what joy! Sleep, eat, and gamble through the night! Heaven! Although I must admit that of late, I haven't been enjoying the "normal" poker game anymore, prefering the "Texas Hold'em" style. And the machines don't really hold any attraction either. So it will probably be blackjack for me.

At work, the more you try to change things, the more they stay the same. Even though I escalated some issues up to "them who shall not be crossed / challenged", and they took me seriously this time, it is still taking a further 2 - 3 weeks to get the stuff I need for my clients. Yesterday I mentioned to my management that I would like to understand the delay, and he took me straight to the guy who's doing the work for an explanation. Well, it's not good enough, you can give me the trail of events, but it does not tell me who's fucking up, slowing down, overloaded, not doing what they should be doing. We talk a 48 hour turnaround time - it's probably how long it takes most of them to turn around to wipe their arses! So whats the managers solution? "Please set up a meeting for Monday!" Like we need to meet again about the same shit!?!?!

Gman's bike is ready for collection. I took it in for a service, and to have the exhaust decarbonised. it's running better, but still not 100%. they also informed me that the oil seal on the crank is leaking, and so most of the smoke now is engine oil burning up.Iasked them to replace it. they say they can't get spares. It's a standard 28x38x7 oil seal dammit! So, I'll get one and take it to them and they can fit it.
