The plastic surgeon did a fantastic job "reattaching" my brothers ear after his "stupid" accident. he suffered some concussion, and had some bad headaches for a few days, but it all seems to be fine now. He's happy with the repair, and at least the front of the ear has a minimal scar.
He also sent me this photo of a flower in his garden. It's magnificent! Must remember to "steal" it next time I'm down there.....And, to finish it off, his wife decided that while he was at home "recuperating" he should put himself to good use, and she made him bake biscuits!!!
They also went out on Friday evening, and had a poitjie (LIU) with some friends. Sounds like they had a lot of fun.

I love Amarillis, and that one is a beauty! They remind me of Zambia, where we had rows of them planted in the flowebeds next to the house, and the bulbs multiplied until they grew in thick clumps like agapanthas.
