If it's Tuesday,

I must be at the coffee shop. Yup, that's right, I'm sitting at the coffee shop, waiting for some of the others in my team to arrive. Not sleeping too well these days, can't understand why, maybe it's the heat, or not.

My brother has his father in law visiting for a few weeks. he's about 70 or so, and when he flew down last week it was the first time in his life in an aeroplane. Amazing how we, and our children take flying to various locations as an everyday occurrence, sometimes not even eliciting any excitement, and then there are those who have never done so before, and much older than us. Strange world.

Work is just that, work, and not too exciting at the moment, (well, it hasn't been for some time now), and the bodss is now starting to press us for pipeline for Q1 next year. I suppose we should be working on it, but I can't see any light at the end of this tunnel.

The one big deal I was working on of late is going South, and I don't believe we are in any position to win it, which means i don't have a chance of making my year end target, and the commission that goes with it.

However, the trend is set. We can find the opportunities, the corporation, however, cannot price it competitively, and does not have the resources required to deliver on it, so we are in a stalemate situation.

This weekend coming, GMan is going to an 18th birthday party of a friend in V-Town (LIU). Although he has been gated / grounded for an undefined period, this was arranged some time ago, and they family are close friends of ours so i decided he could still attend. I'm trying to get accommodation at the Emerald Casino (LIU) so we can sleep over, or else I have to get him there, come back home, and fetch him the next day. We did the same last year (or was it the year before) and had a good time. I didn't get to do much / any gambling, as there is only one poker table, and it was full. But I did watch the other players till about 1am! I sent them an email last night, and we'll see if there is any space left in their river resort.
