Yesterday I had a tooth pulled. Today already I can chew on the place that the tooth came out of. How many times have to bitten your tongue, or inside of your cheek. How fast does it heal? And what about our dogs and cats? Whenever they have an injury / open sore, they lick it. And it heals.
So, what is it in our saliva that has such amazing healing properties? Why can we not harness this stuff, or even manufacture a good imitation / simulation there off, and have it available as a cream / lotion to put onto wounds etc.?
I haven't done a check on the Internet, but it would be interesting to see what, if anything, has been done in this line.
Ok, I just did a search for "properties of saliva" on the net. There is a mountain of information. But I still ask - what are we doing about harnessing this healing power?
Salagatle!
