New visitor

I would like to welcome a new visitor, and comments contributor, to my blog. A 2 Z has been calling, and I went to check their blog, but it's by invitation only.
What I can gather though is that this person is ex-South African, and had=s also recently knocked on Divemasters door.
Well, welcome, and maybe some day I can check out your site too.

Another new visitor is Kat-in-a-flap. I called on her recently, and left a comment, and she was nice enough to come and take a look at mine.
Kat, I have 4 blogs. My main one which you visited, one for Vodacom, a company that really pissed me off, and I decided to get back at them, (not too many visitors though) and one for renault South Africa (another terrible service provider) and then the coffin one, for a new venture I am just getting into.
For my other readers (all 3 of you) her site is worth a visit. Very nice. (http://kat-out-of-the-bag.blogspot.com/)

Keep visiting, and welcome!

Hi Wreckless,

You are almost right. I lived in S.A. for 10 years from 1993 to 2003. I was supposed to move back last September but my father became ill. He passed away last Monday. We have been asked to move back to SA for work once again. It is our second home. We lived in Joburg mostly. My kids are teenagers (2 princesses in the making) and I think it would be unfair to uproot them once again (one even has a prince). I dont have a personal blog. I share one with Aunty Rotter and Jeannine and other women. I really dont have the time to maintain one plus it's so time consuming just to visit everybody else's. I work full time, taxi the 2 pricesses full time, shop, clean and was till last week taking care of my father's appt building with tennants and my dad in the hospital. Now I am at home for the week nursing what seems to be pneumonia and grieving. I wish I could go back and live in S.A. the kids and I have extremely good memories of the place, but...you know the rest. So many big companies are being bought up by Russians and Chinese and we do not like to work for these people. I wrote this info on another blog but at the moment my husband has been threatened with a demotion if he does not accept a job offer in Port Elizabeth. People are finally more aware of what is really going on in SA. They are struggling to find people who want to live there for a few years. They should hire locally anyway but we were told that all the good engineers had left. Thank you for welcoming me. I have been reading your blog for a while and was bit shy about leaving comments. I blog with Jeannine, Aunty Rotter, SAS. Eli the bearded Biker, Jayne with a why, etc. here and there for now and probably a lot less when I am back at work full time! Cheers! : )

Hey, nice 2 c u again.
I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I also read that you were a bit stressed by the fact you were too ill to attend his funeral, even though you did most / all of the preparation. For what it's worth, I believe he knows what you did, he knows you were ill, and he appreciates it all. there is no harm in what happened, he lives on in your heart, and in your mind, and his soul is forever amongst us, guiding and cheering us on.
be strong, call again anytime, don't be shy!
And if you do have to come back to SA - well, it's not the wosrt place on earth, and if you live by the rules you will survive!

Thanks,

I should be at work this week but the doc told me to rest. We all left a piece of our heart in S.A. but we dont plan on leaving more. It is also nice to sleep with both eyes closed. But who knows what will happen down the road. The hub is trying to get to Dubai or Qatar for some tax free dollars and as you know very high taxes + crime does not make it very attractive for foreigners to work in S.A. Thnks for the kinds words : )
