Spotted on my way to the office this am. A real life, genuine, no imports traffic cop. She (yup, she) was just sitting there, under the African sky, manning a digital trapping device.
Photo was taken with a Nokia N95 cellphone, Carl Zeiss Optics, Tessar, Autofocus , 5 Megapixel, and the above copy was edited using Adobe, a software which came free with the Nokia software. Anyone found copying this picture without the necessary approvals / requests, filled in triplicate and submitted via an authentic South African Home Affairs office, marked for my attention, will be sent to Zimbabwe for a period of no less than 2 years.
The original photo is below.
Number plates have been blacked out to protect the innocent....Salagatle!

She is wekking very hard! Sitting in the cold manning a very complicated piece of electronic machinary! Eish! It is hard to be in the force.
She's also there EVERY day...people know by now that she's there and slow down. I just wonder what the return on investment is for her sitting on her arse all day doing FUCKALL!!
The weirdest thing I ever saw was when I lived at my dad's house this spring. He lives in a nice community and the police actually warn you when they're doing a speed trap. There are signs when you enter it: Warning--radar ahead, and then signs telling you when you've left it. You'd have to be really stupid to get a ticket there.
J - you won't believe this but our cops will be manning a speed trap 70 meters from an out of order traffic light, with traffic backing up for kilometers, and they wont go and do traffic control. They will just sit there and watch. When approached and asked (as i once did) the reply is "Eye em on speed control duti tudai, sow ees nort mai jop!"
Salagatle!
That is pathetic. :-(
