PLEASE UNDERSTAND THESE ARE MY THEORIES, AND NOT A REFLECTION ON THE CASE, OR ANY OF THE PLAYERS INVOLVED. YOU READ THIS WITH AN OPEN MIND.
For some time now the news has been covering the murder of a Mr. Brett Kebble (look it up), as well as one Mr. Glenn Agliotti (look it up), and the links to these two guys and our esteemed National Police Commissioner Jackie Selebi (L.I.U.)
Yesterday Agliotti was arrested, along with 3 other shady characters for the murder of Kebble, and it would seem that the other 3 have turned state witness, and will probably fry Agliotti.
Today it is reported that the "shooter" "triggerman" had disappeared!! In my books he's a) Fled overseas, b) Dead, c) gone underground in fear for his life.
If Agliotti is the "king pin" everyone seems to think he is, he will have connections, in the Italian Mafia maybe, and anyone who crosses him will "disappear".
The arrested were conducted at some ungodly our in the early morning, and by the now infamous Scorpions, which raises another issue:-
Why was this not a South African Police Services operation (even though press releases say they two departments were working together), and why has Selebi been calling for the disbanding of the Scorpions (look it up) for so long?
Is it because his "friendship" with Agliotti goes deeper than just that? How can a man in his position be friends with someone like Agliotti when all indications are that he has for some time been suspected of being the ringleader behind a lot of organized crime?
Finally, I'm not sure they have the right man, and my reasoning is this:-
If Agliotti was involved in the Kebble murder, he would also be aware of the fact that the Scorpions were investigating him for the murder (it was "common knowledge"), and surely he would have left the country?
He may not be welcome in too many place around the globe ( I haven't checked his international status) but there is always somewhere someone with the right connections and money can go to....
Anyway, we will wait, and watch, and see which way this thing plays out.
Another thing:- Is Brett Kebble really dead? Or has he gone aground somewhere overseas, waiting for all the noise to settle down, so that his family can join him there, and they can live peacefully, away from the spotlight, with their millions, and free of the debt of his corrupt lifestyle (look it up, dammit)?
