Process, procedures and screwing you over....

So it would seem that following process and procedures far outweighs morals in this company. I was recently hauled over the coals because of a contract I signed with a client. He "backdated" his acceptance (for reasons unknown) and because the pricing approval was dated after the contract, it was deemed a violation of process! And I was not afforded the option of getting the client to resign the contract. No way... I had been a bad boy and they were going to get me!!!

Now, another client signed an agreement with a start date of Feb 01, but only did so on March 16 (about). I was asked to make a written statement about whether any services had been delivered to the client for Feb, beginning March. I saw the catch straight away. If I had said that the client was "covered" during this period, pending final agreement and signature that would have been my job!! BUT, they have no moral concerns about billing the client for Feb, even though NO SERVICES had been delivered to the client for that period!

And now finally, another client will be renewing their agreement this week coming. Current contract expires 31 March - yesterday. I made sure that I let the client know, in writing, that he would be exposed if nothing was in place on time. (I am willing to put my house on it that if the client does invoke a disaster between now and the final signature date, this company WILL assist them. They can't afford not to, because the client will be helped by someone else, and we will lose their business!!!)

I was also informed that if I did not bring the signed document in to the office for acceptance by my management by midnight 31 March, the recognition for my targets would only be reflected in the second quarter’s stats. This means waiting a further 30-60 days for my commissions!

Once again, when the contract is finally signed next week some time, they will have no problem in billing the client from 01 April, even though "They will have had no cover available".

So the client is exposed, the salesman is screwed, but the company will get their money.

Something stinks, and it's not me this time.
