Mutual seperation - another word for SHAFTED!

So I been working here for 9 yrs, and 9 months, plus 6 months as a contractor. Had a poor year last year, I'm in sales, working for commissions (basic plus...) against big targets. Anyway, had a bad year, got a bad rating (performance) because of it, and today I get given a letter.
Basically a voluntary retrenchment.! Damn, these dumbfucks wanna shaft me!!
This posting is shooting from the hip stuff, so no-one needs take anything personally!!!

Basically its like this:- Got a AA boss (affirmative action), but he's ok in so much as he can do the job! I think. But, he's hell bent on implementing AA (affirmative action) within the ranks of his dept. And is placing previously disadvantaged staff in all available positions! I think this is more of the same. I mean, I was top achiever for 3 consecutive years, and got a leadership award the fourth. Been awarded a pile of share options. So I have a bad year or two, and NO ONE bothers to try and find out what's wrong / address the issues. We are supposed to have a function inhouse which analyses such situations, and identifies corrective action in the form of training / guidance, etc.
But no, lets rather put the boot in. Who cares that I'm basically unemployable out there, with my lily white arse.
Well, I'm not going easy. Turned the offer down (for now anyway) and will review my options. Going to have to update the old CV... Damn if I'm not pissed right now!!!

And the package they offer really sucks. Maybe if they care to double it I'll consider it. Go out on my own (again) and go it alone. Damn!!
And do they really think that replacing me is going to resolve the problem? It's going to take some AA dumbfuck 6 months to get to understand the offering, and 12 months to get around the company process and procedures!! See if that gets their figures up! Fucking clowns.

What pisses me off the most is that they don't page back more than 12 months at a time. It's true what they say... U only as good as your last sale / deal.

In this game, in this country, we have the odds stacked against us. We don't really qualify as a BEE (Black Economic Empowered) company, so we are automatically penalised when it comes to Government / quasi government business. And that is where the biggest spend is. Apart from which, we fuck up on delivery to our existing clients.
I spend as much time trying to keep the business we have, as I do looking for new business. It CRAP!!!

The ideal, in South Africa, is to go it alone. Find a niche, and exploit it. Problem is I have tried it, and did well, but got "closed" down when the new dispensation came in to power as I did not have the required BEE credentials, and was told I couldn't make it.
In hind site, I should have stuck it out.
However, on the bright side, my ex-boss contacted me, and sed he had given my details to a CEO who is looking to employ a salesman in SA!
Maybe, just maybe I'll have the last laugh. My situation would improve based on the type of company it is. So all is not lost...yet!

As a last resort, I'll go online asking for US$1.00 donations to support a needy family (thats me). Maybe I can get 1 million Americans to feel sorry for me, and then I'll be sorted.
Hell, now that I think of it, it could work.
