There si currently, on National TV, and advert for the Kia Sportage, on special. R242000 with a R30000 cash back / discount / extras offer. Add R3000 to this for Lic & reg fees.Mentioned this in a previous blog.
Anyway, turns out it's a 2008 model actually, but brand new, so will be registered as a 2009 model. But it's also pre - facelift.
Not too many changed, headlights, front grill, twin exhausts as opposed to single, new style mag wheels. Internally much the same, small change on the aircon buttons, and the addition of an I-Pod jack, as well as a USB port (for charging stuff?). Oh, and the radio can also play MP3.
So, I go look at the new facelifted model.
R242000, but, they offer it with Nudgebar, tow bar, Anti smach and grab window tinting, as well as the Lic and reg fee, all thrown in, at the floor price.
Both dealers are offering R115000 for the trade in (2004 VW Kombi, 1.9 TDI, 118000, full service history, inc. towbar......).
So, do I get the new look model, with all the optional extras, or the older look model, with no extras. They just called to confirm I can have it for R207k! Another R5k off.
Seeing as I would be getting R35k (R242 - R30k cash back = R212k, -R207k = R5k. So R30k+R5k=R35k) back, it makes more sense to me to go for the old look, new car deal.
Just wondering what u all think?
Salagatle!
