Cape Town is, and always will be, a special place for me. It's the only place, outside of Italy, where I feel I could easily relocate to!

A view of the coastline, south of Cape Town
This past weekend, the Princess and I flew down there to attend the wedding of a dear friend. It was, for him, and his bride, their second wedding, and well deserved too. I'm not sure what the story is with the brides first round, but my friends wife passed away some years ago after a long illness. He loved and cared for her right to her end, and none is more deserving of a second chance than he is. And what a grat couple they make. Congratulations to you both!

Spotted outside a craft shop. Very ingenious work done to this bike!

Sunset, and the 400 meter wide beach at Noordhoek.

Breakfast at the Brass Bell. Google it - very famous restaurant / bar, on the beach in KalkBay!

Our rental - A KIA Picanto - probably an 1100 - with radio and aircon. Ran ok. Just very, very small.

Another beach sunset

Lundudno - the home to the rich and famous. People have been know to pay millions of Rands (5-10) for a home there, only to pull it down and build their own monstrosity, bigger and better!!!
Whilst we were down there we also had the pleasure of meeting up with some old frinds from Gauteng. DMDad and his spouse met us for brunch on Saturday, followed by a walk on the beach, and then beers at a beach pub. Sunday we went around to their place for a sandwidch and coffee, whilst they were preparing for a Show House. Great guys - so hospitable!
And they are in a damn fine area, in a damn fine house (DMDad says it's overpriced.Mmmmm maybe at current rates)
Anyway, thanks guys for having us around, and being with us. Hope we can do the same for you sometime, and hope to be back there again soon.
Salagatle!
