Me and management - again

This pm I'm in another "uitkak" session with my manager - and his manager will be there by my request.
On Tuesday we had a bit of a run in on the phone, which ended with me hanging up in the middle of a "Conference call"! He then wanted to meet with me Wed. morning, but I said only if his manager was there. He couldn't be then, so it's set for today.
Should prove to be interesting. I have now reached the end of my tether, and could possibly be unemployed after this. Will have to make the best of the situation either way. Hopefully, if I do find myself disadvantaged, it will not lead to a situation where I need to sell my home to get by.
Yup, it's that serious.

It's about ethics, principles, and putting the customer first. It's about respect, and dealing with relevant issues when they arise, not once they get out of hand. It's about leading, managing by intelligence, and about being in a position of responsibility because you can do it, not because you happen to be black, and the only cunt who applied for the job!

I am damn good at what I do. I know it, and some other know it. But when it comes to arse covering, there are some serious pro's out there. To the extent that they can lose any amount of their best sales team members, but will never look to what the root cause ay be. God forbid that they may be found to have made a mistake in their choice of candidate for any managerial position.

Will keep u (if there is anyone out there) updated.

More on the crisis! (What crisis?)

Today Thabo decided to allow the SANDF (Thats the army guys, who have the right to strike) to go into the troubled areas to assist the SAPS ( the cops who have the right to take bribes). Funny thing that, as last night was a realtively quiet night, and almost returned to normal. Now why did he wait?

But, wait, there's more! I heard on 702 an excerpt from an interview done with Thabo's brother! Now there's a papvreter (Thanx Fishman) who speaks his mind! No problem for him to slate his brother - the ANC - Mad Bob - hey, he has no strings attached. Damn, if he ran for it, I'd vote him in as president! Will see if I can find a link to his interview and post it here.....

Also on 702, interviewed live from Moscow:-Businessman Tokyo Sexwale has blamed certain despotic African leaders for the major refugee problem in South Africa. The chairman of Mvelaphanda Holdings was speaking to 702's David O’Sullivan from Moscow. Sexwale says the country hasn't planned adequately for refugees. He also reiterated that the problem is that dictators have been allowed to run amok on the African continent. Sexwale also says the option of sending out the army must remain open.

Crisis? What Crisis....!?!

These are words attributed to Thabo Mbeki. Following the fiasco with the last elections in Zimbabwe, (look it up man, where u been hiding?), Thabo went to Harare, and met with Mad Bob. Afterwards, they did the usual posing for the media for photos. they were pictured holding hands (a la lovers?), and Thabo made a statement around the fact that as far as he could ascertain, there was no immediate crisis in Zimbabwe, and that the fact of the matter was that the events which were taking place were as per the process written in the Zimbabwean constitution! (They have a constitution?) Antway, our media was all over this, and attributed the comment "Crisis, what Crisis?" to him.

Now I'm not here to debate the facts. Or the correctness of the quotes. What has happened in the past few days / weeks in South Africa with the xenophobia, has given rebirth to the statement. In fact, some or other idiot from government, who visited Alexander soon after the first attacks, spoke to the media, and said it could not be labeled a crisis. When an event like this affects only one area, and is perpetuated by a small minority, this does not constitute a crisis. Ok, so now its 20 locations around Gauteng, 22 people killed in one way or another, over 5000 illegals are now refugees in our country. So, now do we have a crisis?
