Saturday morning I get up, and tell the boys we're going to the bike shop to buy a Yamaha DT 125, a bike I have selected with which I plan to teach them how to ride. As I am reversing out of the garage (moved 3 inches) I hear an almighty bang, and the rear window of the Princess's VW Kombi exploded!!!!
The garage door bottom runners came out of the guide, causing the door to sag, just enough for the handle to line up with the window, and as I moved back, the only part that could "give" was the glass. So this morning I lodged another claim with the insurance company, and tomorrow morning the glass guys will be fitting a new window. Shit!!!
So we never got to go and buy the bike......

The garden - III
I finished the previous blogg on the garden along the wall next to Queenies carport (look it up).
These plants are all doing really great. We will need to decide what stays, and what will be moved to another location.

My brothers garden (mostly cactus plants). Will need to be sorted as some plants are taking over, and others are disappearing!

Part two of my brothers garden. Same problems as above, but hey, rather everything flourishes than dies!

And our garden. We have really been fortunate with planting at this home. I just have not done enough of it.... Finances rule our lives here. And it's in short supply.

This close up is of one of about 10 similar flowers. I believe this plant multiplies (bulbs or something) so next year this should really look spectacular!

The garden - II
How the garden grows.....!

Outside the front door we now have a beautiful view of the flower beds.

A bit closer.....
Lots of green stuff growing well.....

Some more plants in pots, which a friend from a nearby farm transplanted for us.

These are the flower beds in / under / next to Queenies carport (look it up). More to follow

The garden - I
It's been some months now since my brother started a flower garden at my house. So far so good. We have added to it, and filled in a few more flower boxes, so I thought I would take some pictures and post them here for all the world to see.

I also took photos of LuckyL's vegetables he planted and which seem to be doing quite well. He planted them in some flower pots on the deck! Tomatoes (two plants have come up and are growing well).
And some green peppers, 33 seeds planted and about seven plants coming up. As well as a whole lot of spring onions!
Today we planted some red and yellow pepper seeds. And some Bell chilli peppers. Will see how they fare.
These cycads we brought with from our previous home. They are doing ok, but I think they would grow much more if we moved them to the garden. However, the Princess wants them on the deck.
